Hello all. I'm looking for a new bass, but don't want to spend a lot of money (still in high school). I've always been a huge fan of the Stingray, but never had enough money to purchase one. Then I came upon the OLP MM2. The reviews are good, but what do yall think of it? I'd get it in Blue Pearl with a maple neck.

I owned one, t'wasn't a bad piece at all. Gave me the chance to find out I really don't like Stingray type sound for cheap, and no loss when I sold it.

I suggest you do a search here on TB about them though, they have been discussed quite a bit.

Ive said this in a few other posts - the olp is great for the money - just be careful about the pickups, on a lot of 4 stringers the volume is completely different string to string...just try before you buy 'cause if you get a good one its as good as a stingray in my opinion :bassist:
