I just purchased a 5-String Sadowsky MV-5 and at first I was timid about price and other things. If you are looking for a good push to get a quality instrument maybe this will help. I wrote a little about it at my blog Parker's Bass blog
Hope this will help you if you are on the fence like I was.

I totally understand. That is the first thing that gets me when I pick up a new bass. The neck on mine is like nothing I have ever felt, that is what hooked me. The moment has to be perfect. Never tried a Roscoe.

I tried one!! Then went and bought a Spector.

  7. Wow!!! That's what I want. A color similar to what Fender offered back in the day, except that it's see-thru. I would love to have a bass with a see-thru shell pink,or see-thru sonic blue. Nice.

I always loved the Sadowsky bass in this early 90's SWR (on the left)

    Sadowsky5.

    So I bought it!

Yep, that is the actual bass from the ad. It was originally built in 1988 for Steve Rabe, founder of SWR.

That's okay - I tried several F basses and was equally unimpressed. :smug: Different strokes.

Baird6869 RIP Gord Downey. A True Canadian Icon.

    All personal preference....

Sadowskys are amazing instruments (I had 3 at one time).

I am more into my Modulus basses now and get good tones out of my '70's Stingray, Jazz and P.

I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with another MIA Sadowsky at some point in the future though....

Another great thing about Sadowsky is their customer service. I had to call a couple of times for various problems including a dead pickup.... Roger personally took the call and fixed the problem immediately. Amazing company to deal with.... Even if you arent Will Lee!
