Anyone want to bet which one wins? I have a path cleared if any of them do make it - expecting packages from all 3 today, UPS, USPS, FedEx, not betting on any of them making it, we were supposed to have 2" by this morning, it's over 2' and counting right now.
My neighbor is a UPS driver. If the way they crack the whip on him is any indication company-wide UPS will make it or the driver will die trying.
Got a message from Amazon warning one of them (via UPS) will be delayed - but nothing from UPS yet. We'll see. Trying to get pumped up for another round of shoveling.
Albany area here... the US Post Offices all closed, no mail delivery today...so much for the postal creed.
You guys should come down south. My office window keeps getting hit by flower pedals blowing out of the trees. Our version of this "nor'easter" is 52 degrees with slight "gusts" of 15 mph.
Bummer! I feel for you. I hate when the Big Day arrives and something gets in the way of the package delivery (or all THREE)! I am wagering you'll get two of the three. Oh, and here? Should be about 90 or 91 today.
No NBD today I'm betting. Stopped shoveling at noon, have another 8" to shovel now (plus the remainder of the original 2' I haven't shoveled yet). Sigh.
We got 9" yesterday, but today it's sunny and reasonable. Hopefully you will get the nicer weather after its worked its way past you. I have absolutely no faith what so ever in the usps. Over the last four years they have consistently lost packages destined for my address. I know I have lost at least 500.00 worth of product. Complaining to usps all the way up does no good. I track it to st Paul, then it goes into someone's personal vehicle no doubt. Crooks all of them. Honestly I've had great luck with fedex though. Ups isn't bad, but I've had a few packages destroyed by them as well. I do almost all of my shopping and business on line, so I have a lot of experience through all of them.
Aaand FedEx just bailed and rescheduled for tomorrow too! Just measured 26" out back. I need to keep shoveling or I'll fall behind...
If you set your packages to Will Call, like I do, you can go get them on your time, when the roads are clear and not be doing guess work as to whether they're going to come today, of if they'll come while you're in the shower We've got you beat, because we're close to a knee.
It's obvious you wouldn't have had time to play with all of the shoveling needing to be done. This could be a blessing in disguise
Snow seems to have stopped, topped out at 31". Have a path to the road shoveled so deliveries can get in. Probably have 3-4 more hours' work to get the car out. Roads aren't ready yet anyway.
UPS has bailed for today and rescheduled for tomorrow, FedEx is in limbo, doubt USPS will be out today either. Out of milk, situation desperate.
We probably didn't get more than 10mm of snow here & milk, bread & eggs were flying off the shelves. Everyone apparently loves to have French toast when it snows!
Take a piece of bread, Put it in the slot, Push down the lever and the wires get hot. I get toast. Yeah toast! Yeah toast!
