If you were giving a choice to play one bass for a year what would be your choice.
Been playing a Fender Jazz four banger for the last four years, but I wouldn't mind trying an Afterburner II, or a Elrick Platinum 5, for a year or so.
Probably a Kramer Aluminum neck.. That was my first bass, and I hated it all to hell bad tone, poor playability. It would definitely make me appreciate what I have more to be stuck on a monstrosity such as that for a year... that and I have bad karma, so need to pay the piper.
an fbass or a MM bongo would be my choice right now. i am buying the bongo in january.
Lots of us Do play one bass a year. Ive been playing my Godin for about a year, and probably will be playing it for another .75 of a year until i get a new bass. (i have an SX that i dont play cause the neck kinda sucks, and a Spector q5 i dont play bc i dont liek 5 strings, its for sale)
It would have to be a Dingwall... I've been dying to hear that low B on a 37" scale. I'd also like to see if I could get used to thta fanned fret system. By all accounts, you can hear the difference, but I don't have the biggest of hands. I'd love to have a year to try to get acclimated to it.
For me... I want to try a fender jazz 6 stringer (if they have 1 hahahaha!)
If I could only have one bass, I would pick that sweet Sadowsky five string P-bass that they just debuted.
a seven string dingwall. high F.
or just stick with what i got
hmm, nice idea. if i could go custom i'd probably take a monster 8 string conklin with all the bells and whistles possible. that or a bongo
pick one bass..... for a year....
(the fretless 6 string Benavente)
I'll stick with my Carvin LB70.
If I could only keep one, this would be it-my trusty Vigier Excess1. It does everything I need.
Lately I've been wanting to really try a Status Retro-active J bass. I wouldn't mind taking a year to try it out.
I'd try a pagelli
A lined fretless 5 Le Fay Pangton 5.
