    Ok here's my situation:

I currently have 2 yamaha basses (4 string and high-5 string). currently the 4 stringer has EMGs, and sounds great. I also have a 79' Aria fretless with dimarzio jazz pups, which sounds surprisingly really good.

i got fairly good deals on all the aforementioned basses, and i don't have anything but good things to say about all of them.

however, GAS is kickin in and i'm starting to consider selling all of them and having one hoss of a bass. say a modulus q5 or q4, a benavente..whathaveyou.

i don't gig often, so having only 1 bass won't really affect me in terms of having a backup.

    what would you do?

keep the three lower level good basses or part with em all and splurge on a beauty.

    thanks for any input

Keep them and save a little more to get the new bass.

Don't sell them if you like them as much as you say you do.
You can always wait a little longer for that new bass, but you'll have a hard time getting the old ones back, if at all.
