I have to down size to a large RV. Need to let some of the kids go. But I did want to share a family picture before the break up. Fare well my children. Which do I keep and which go on the block. That is the question!

There was a question? Cool. Keep the last two you played in public and sell the rest. I would say three but you have to admit there's quite a thread of similarity running through the collection.

The choice would be easy for me. Sell them ALL and just get a nice Precision!

In all seriousness, I feel your pain. I moved out of a house I was renting about a year and a half ago into a 405 sq. ft. cottage, and had about 3 times as many guitars and basses as you, along with quite a few vintage amps. Was a little bitter sweet seeing most of them go, but I made a nice little chunk of cash and to be totally honest own two basses now along with a Fender Rumble 500 and have ZERO regrets.

I've saved so much money just in the last year, and by the end of this year will be finally free of all my student loans, now have Tier 1 credit and a nice chunk in the bank to eventually buy a house. The sacrifice was/is well worth it!

Quite the predicament, for sure. I don't envy you but I will be there some day. When I retire and the kids are grown we'll full-time RV for a few years before we settle in new surroundings. If you don't mind, share how you end up making the decision(s) on which one(s) to sell!

Draw straws to see which Ray 5H to keep and flip a quarter between the Alembic and the Bongo.

    You gonna travel?

Sell the MM stuff. The Alembic and Boutiquey thing will be harder to replace if you get the urge. The stuff in the middle is common as muck.

they're all 5-string instruments! easy: ditch 'em all.

just kidding! good luck telling them goodbye and that you no longer need them and that you are only going to keep the ones you love the most. :roflmao:

I'd keep the natural Ray and maybe the fretless if you play it a lot.

I would keep the Alembic, one of the Musicmans, and the Buckeye Burl one on the left.
