++SOLD++ Yes, this is one of THOSE '87 MIJ Fender P-Basses, but highly modified and vastly improved. This started life as an '87 Made In Japan P-Bass, which we all know is that era of '84-'87 that are some of the best ever made. It is lake Placid Blue, has an upgraded Mighty Mite Maple/Maple neck and a set of Lindy Fralin pick-ups. This bass sings like none other I have ever owned. It is a bass that has been gigged, but I take good care of my instruments. I have owned this one since about '97. It has a few minor bumbs, but nothing special for a 20+ year old bass. Only one is through the paint, it is on the horn and can be see in the pictures. It will ship in a gig bag and well packed.
Why, you of course are asking, are you selling it if it is that great??? Good question. I have an endorsement deal with Lakland and have a LPB Bob Glaub which is pretty redundent.

$500 gets this beauty shipped to the lower 48.

e-mail with questions or offers I cant refuse...

    Thanks for taking a look!!

OK, price adjustment. I guess I was a bit too proud of it at first listing.
... or make me an offer. Trades possible, but Laklands only...
    Thanks

I sold it several years ago when I put the maple one on. It lives on a Jazz Bass up north somewhere now.

You might want to check out people's takes on maple fretless necks. they aren't very common for a reason. Some people like them but atleast look into it.

  16. Hey, what's the nut width on this guy?
Also- on fretless maple necks- I just played the[defretted maple-neck]lawsuit Ibanez P clone I got from Quadzilla, & I LOVE it. Sweet mwah, sweet barky, mid-kicking P-tone. I'd definitely suggest coating it if you defret though.

This is the standard P-Bass neck ( not a jazz ) Mighty Mite replacement, and is incredible. I would not de-fret this neck, I'll pull it & get a Fender Ebonal neck to put on it.
    Thanks.
