one piece (no fretboard) mahogany neck

  1. Hey guys!

Just have a question for ya... Have you ever played on bass which neck has no fingerboard, more precise, it is all one piece... In a couple of days my fretless will be finished, and it's neck is gonna be of such type.. The mahogany is harder than usual, and not so reddish colored (luthier said it is "tali' or 'thali' mahogany and it is used for railway frets in Africa (wow)..)
anyway...how' s your opinion on one piece necks in general..?

  2. My Fender 77 Fretless P-Bass Is a one piece Maple neck/finger surface....and its super sweet!
  3. And that is so sweet lookin bass indeed... I'll post some of my baby, when it gets finished...
