I had a really great time at our last gig, just jumping around and going nuts. Our singer fell over three times he was singing so hard, and I went ape$#!^ on my bass; scraping the strings against the micstand, hitting it, flipping it around.... Heh, the singer got a little too close to my personal space, and I gave him the boot, shoving him about six feet across the stage with my foot. Anybody else get carried away by the music and act the fool? BTW, playing barefoot is pretty sweet.
hehe, im waiting to play my first gig at school (29/10), so i can go nuts on stage, its going to be sweeet... but i don't know if my band will aprove it.... ah, whatever
Hehe...my (new) band's busy coordinating our Beautiful Guy song on stage. When the song's all soft & ballad-y we all move in unison just bobbing back & forth, and when it breaks into the...uhm..."hardcore" parts we just go crazy on stage. It's really fun.
I don't feel like I can get too crazy onstage -- I am the only one that can hold it together and if I miss a part cuz I'm gettin' nuts, we'd all be screwed!
ermm nope. Merls PS. i act like a fool on TB, why would i want to destroy my bands agro reputation as well?
Wait till the singer head bangs into the mic and knocks himself out. THAT'S stage craziness. Rock on Eric
I'm waiting for the Battle of the Bands to start acting buck wild. I want to just go stark raving mad while onstage. Heh...that would rule.
My guitarist and I already have a rep for being loons, so its like a second nature to do that, and if we really get into the music, well its pretty wacky. Since I can sorta break dance I should learn to spin on my back and play.
Err no thats just singers. Always have to be the centre of attention, being it throwing up, or hitting themselves. Merls
No, he's cool. He plays bass for most of the time. He was kinda dragged into the singing part at the last minute. Rock on Eric
Craziness. Oh yes. Onstage anarchy has occurred quite a few times. It happens when you have a crazy singer and guitarist. and bassist. The Keyboardist and drummer just stand there and shake their heads We've been banned from most of the places we play, but it has worked to our advantage because there is a huge demand to see 'the band that gets kicked out of everywhere'. Its funny because we arent punk or metal or anything, we're more a psychadelic progressive rock floydy type thing. Jim
aw lizard man, you and me both, man! i don't think me and my boys have ever gotten through an entire gig without someone throwing up or breaking into hysterics or getting into a fight with someone (i got into a punch-on with our drummer once 'coz i was jumping up and down on the edge of his kick-drum whilst the guitarist was solo'ing...) or whatever. i love rock. i guess it's because we've made it a band tradition to down a few brews before every gig. originally it was a nerves thing, but now, now it has become something all the more sinister ... oh yeah, visit our illustrious site you plebians! we're really fantastic and everything
Tones, maybe its an Australian thing! There is something very rock and roll about it all isnt there! Jim
i go ape on stage and in the mosh pits. i know people that have stuck their 2 fingers up and walked under a girl while she is jumpin up and down..its sick i kno but ppl do it! yeah i go ape on stage i knock myself out just about..but yeh ITS ALL FUN! kirby
i hate being the lead singer cause it really cuts down on my jumping and running around time, i always have to return to the mic and stand relatively still
When Im on stage and see a sleaze groping girls, i'll single him out in front of the whole audience and tell him to get out, and tell the bouncer to get rid of him. You'll never see anyone so humiliated . I dont want that element in my audience. I have a very strict non-sleaze policy! Jim
The guitarist and I were in my room just playing around. We reached the bridge part of my favouruite song. It was just my room.. but hey... I started to jump about and some how managed to smack myself in the face with the headstock. (Now remember; the bedroom door.. was.. um.. shut ) I went flying across the room.. BAAAM~~! Think of it this way - I was no longer IN my room
We rehearse in our drummers basement, and it's very low. I liek to move when I play, and have developed a cheesy "bent knees" kinda groove that I perform in rehearsals, and I let it all go onstage. However, the other week, we spent ages going over one bit in a song, that was all down to the drummer and guitarist, so I sat there patiently and waited, when they finally finished I was really excited to be doing something, when the riff cracked in I jumped up, and hit my head really hard, so we had to stop. We've got a recording of it, goes something like: "Gwayiwayiwayi" (Wah wah intro chord...) "bu dump bubabibubu Doo dee da.... 'Sh*t man are you OK,' 'That looked well bad'"
jump, whenever i'm in my friends garage and were kidding around, i try to do the jump&play thing, i can jump up and down, but i can't do the basstoone side jump, my action is too low, and i hit a note and sound like i killed a cow or something.
