Some pirates had a bad day:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091007/ap_on_re_af/piracy
They really need a shoot to kill order.
Anything with pirates makes me think of this chart.
But that's worth a lulz for sure.
Talk about a having bad day.
WALK THE PLANK, YA SCURVY KNAVES!
Oh no they ditn't!!
They were found with not guns.....
They didnt throw them overboard or anything. Plus isn't this the first battle the french won?
My hurts brain.
Don't mock Yoda man!
Wasn't actually a battle.
And they did beat themselves during the revolution.
why so sigged?
"Beware my not gun!! *pew pew*"
This just in:
"Pirates apparently not the brightest bulbs in the box".
That's like trying to carjack a cop because you mistook him for the Dominoes guy.
You know how it sounds if you come up to someone and say "Beware my not gun!" ?
<Monty Python> What are ya gonna do,......shoot (k)nots at me?!? </Monty Python>
Fetchez la vache!
I came here to see if someone posted a thread on this or I was going to. When I read the story I laughed and was also suprisied that the French won.
I think this is the second time pirates ended up on the wrong side of the French. If I remember right, the first time was about a year ago when the French agreed to pay a ransom for the release of some hostages and then followed the pirates back to their home base. At which time, they killed some pirates and some other people who they suspected were involved with piracy. Then the French government issued a warning to any pirates saying they could expect the same treatment any time someone tried to take French civilians hostage.
Does anyone else remember that?
It always cracks me up when Americans talk about the French not being able to fight. They have been involved in a bunch of nasty little conflicts in Africa over the last fifty years that have gotten little coverage in the USA. Handling the pirates is nothing for the French navy.
The French helped us with our independence, so I try not to tease them overly much.
Of course that was probably done more out of a hatred for the British than any desire to help us out...
/needs a not gun and a do not see me rabbit
