Hi all, I just have a quick question.

I recently came into the possession of a GK MBF800, replacing my TC Electronic RH450. I'm going into the studio tomorrow and was wondering if it would be possible to run the GK direct without a cab for recording purposes. I did this with the TC, but my guitarist seemed wary about doing it with the GK without express approval from the manufacturer. Any help would be immensely appreciated. :)

I don't think GK makes any tube amps, but I could be wrong. Basically if the amp is a true tube amp (tube power section) it cannot be run without a load, if the amp is a solid state, like this GK, it is fine without a load. Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot! My guitarist was anxious because of the tube pre-amp section. Your explanation makes sense.
