Opinion of Fender MIK basses?

Only speaking for myself, i have an 98 Squier Jazz which now has MEC active pup's with passive controls. Manufactured by Samick it has a neck to die for. Made of Poplar, no skunk stripe, in sunburst. I believe the P versions are plywood (no biggie) but are just as good.
