Anyone have any feedback on a Hamer Slammer SB4-CS? I can buy it used (I'm a beginner here) and want an all wood body, rosewood fretboard and short scale....which this has. Plus it's not cheesy looking (sort of retro). I'm not looking for the ultimate bass here.....when I get good enough than we'll see.
Hm, judging from the guitars they always had very good quality. I doubt you'll easily find another used shortscale in that quality and price range, so if you like it - buy it.
I had a Korean made Hamer Cruise, which I loved. It was a good bass for the money. I don't know much about the the Slammer, if you like it, go for it. Why short scale, though? Mark
I had a USA made Hamer Cruise 5, which I really liked and regret getting rid of. I have played a couple Slammers. For a beginner, they would be an alright first bass. And you can always upgrade later. Ryan
Thanks for the info everyone. I also have some musician friends down here in Dallas that gave it a general thumbs up vote. It will be here in a week.
