Opinions of the new Dream Theater disc

Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by leffe luffer, Dec 16, 2003.

  1. So what do you guys think of Train of Thought?
How is Myung´s playing? As mathematicly correct and brilliant as usual, any new cool stuff?
  2. I'm pretty sure this belongs in recordings.

Or bassists, if it was entirely about Myung's playing.

    But to recordings it goes...

Right you are! Moved to Recordings.
  4. Myung does a great job (as usual) on Train of Thought. I love the album just as much as the other DT albums I own. This one has a bit darker feeling to it which is good to. The bass is higher in the mix on this album to.

Yes, nice disc. I haven't had a chance to listen to it in its entirety yet, but what I've heard sounds pretty good. There's some nice guitar work on it, as usual. And the 'boards are great too. And Johnny, well, is Johnny... THis disc should be a real treat for Dream Theater fans!

Treat for DT fans... OH YEAH!:D

It's my second favorite DT album (closely trailing SDOIT) and Myung has some awesome basslines, especially on HTF and ITNOG! I love that the bass is REALLY high in the mix as well, IMO best overall sound DT has ever had!

Labrie doesn't sound so damn annoying anymore!;)

Yeah, I could go on and on about ToT, but I won't, because I have in many other DT threads!:D
