Ok, I've done it by the past for the Zia and the Plume Singlecut shapes and I've always liked your feedback so here I go again,

A new doublecut shape...called Naïa. Might do some adjustements to it or even screw it completly but I thought that I could already share ;)

It's drawn on a MDF board for the moment. I'll be building a bass with this shape real soon to validate it.

    Peace,
    JP

    GREAT!

I'm gassing bad enough for a JP Bass (even though my playing ability is deserving of no more than a MIM Fender...). That body shape makes it even worse! That looks absolutely gorgeous!!!

I like everything about it... except maybe for the transparent neck.

    ;)

    Looks good, JP

  8. I think the upper horn could be moved back a bit.

Lower horn looks a little pointy to me, but other than that I really like it.

  10. Looks Co0ol reminds me little of a Sei Flamboyant

I absolutely LOVE your basses JP, and I check your site daily for updated photos. This new design reminds me a lot of Matt Pulcinella's Level bass designs IMHO. Your lower horn comes to a sharper point than his does but the two designs are very similar.
It's still a great design, don't get me wrong!! Can't wait to see it actually built up! :hyper:

    JP - I love it!

I think the upper horn should stay as is for better balance when worn with a strap. I love the neck going all the way to the neck pickup. As far as the tip of the lower horn, I do like it but could be rounded off a little more or you could even extend it a bit. It's tough to say but if the lower horn stays as is, will it be comfortable when sitting?

    thanks for the comments guys.

the treble horn will be just a tad rounder. The drawing has mutliple lines but in real life I can see the right one ;)

    Peace,
    JP

You build that thing fast, put 8 strings on it and send it to me for testing :D
Great idea, the plume wasn't my favourite design (love the plume sc tough), another double cut will bring up more people that are not so into singles
