Opinions on PRS SE Kingfisher?

    So I'm debating selling my Fender Jazz 24 five string and getting a used PRS SE Kingfisher for $450. I can't get used to the 5 string and want to tune the Kingfisher to BEAD with thicker flatwound strings (I already have a Lakland 44-02 tuned EADG). I just don't like the feel of the thicker neck of the 5 string and I rarely play the G string anyway. Anyone have any comments on the Kingfisher or tuning to BEAD? Thanks!

    Just bought one with the same intent of BEAD. How did this turn out for you?

    Not good. The bass was too heavy and the passive pickups underperformed in my opinion. I did like the neck, though. Hopefully you’ll have better luck!

    I was probably going to get a preamp anyway and my rig is pretty beefy so hopefully it'll be as good as I hope it is
