I've never purchased a used cab and I was wondering what you all thought about the idea. Any help appreciated.

which one you going for? i used to have the 410 and ive played through one of the 212s before
  5. Which cab?

I have the NEO 412 and love it!
They have a well balance sound and range and can stand up too strong power in my experience.

At GC you have 30 days to figure out if there is anything wrong with it or if you like it or not.
  7. I see no reason not to get it if you like it. Like bassgod said you have 30 days to return it which should give you plenty of time to evaluate the cabinet. I bought both of my GK Neo 112's used and have had no issues with them at all. I always try to buy gear used, just like cars and let someone else take the hit.

    rapidfirerob Fusion rules!

I also have two Neo 112 IIs, one used here on TB, one new. Great cabs!

We just purchased a 4x10 and a 1x15 at work and they are great, nice and light!

It's a 410 that I'm looking at, and it's already on it's way from Texas to California!

Same opinions go for used heads? I'd like to save $300 getting a used 700RBII

I purchased a few cabs from GC over the years, 80% of the time it's been a positive experience.

However, when I was in the market for a 212 neo, I ran into an issue. First one I got had a blown speaker, had to return it. The 2nd one I received had some other drivers put in it, assuming someone did the old switch and sell to GC trick.

I eventually got a used 212MBE from GC and it's great.

My advice:if you do buy, make sure it works 100%. Also, take a look inside and make sure there isn't any funny business going on.
