I am trying to save for a decent resonator bass, and I was wondering if any of you guys had one and what your guy's opinion was on them. Thanks a lot.

Only played two. Couldn't get past the tone...the strings sure didn't help.
You're hoping to find an acoustic bass that you can play unplugged in an acoustic setting, as opposed to an acoustic through a battery-powered Roland Micro Cube, for example?

  3. I wasn't impressed with mine. Oh, you could actually hear it as compared to most ABGs but it's tone was very twangy and also very directional (Otherwise you gotta be right in front of it to hear it). An upright is still th way to go if you want to be heard. A guitarrone might work.
If the setting is not purely acoustic, then get a fretless ukulele base and a small battery powered base combo with about a 10 inch speaker and have at it.
