Does anyone have any experience or opinions on Samson Power Amps. Particularly the S700 model. I need a power amp for my rig, but I can't sell my bass to get the dough to get it. The shop I bought the bass in will take it on a trade in for this power amp, so I'm considering it, if I can get a good deal on it.

I have a Samson studio reference amp for my home studio, a Servo 150, and has worked just fine so far. I bought it used and have used it extensively myself, without problems. I suppose it's not the cleanest sounding amp in the world, but I wouldn't know since I haven't tried anything else. For a bass stage rig you don't need studio reference quality either, but more power and reliability.

Samson amps seem to be a pretty good value... if their larger amps works as good as mine, they ought to be pretty darn reliable too.
