I just want to know what people think about the Alembic f-2B pre-amp. I have access to one fairly cheap, but want to know more about them. Please give general comments about tone, sound, reliability etc.... Feel free to compare to other pro-amps. PLEASE HELP

I would suggest going to alembic.com to get the specifics on this pre amp. You're basically looking at a solid, no frills stereo tube preamp. If you run a mono rig, I would recommend the F-1X over the F-2B. On the other hand, if you have a stereo rig, the F-2B would be a perfect preamp.

  3. My only beef with the F2 is that there is no "deep switch" and no XLR DI out
