Have the opportunity to buy an excellent condition Washburn xb-900 for 300 bucks. Good deal? Good guitar?

That's a sweet deal! Those are very nice basses. It's got a Duncan MM-style pickup and Duncan preamp. The ones I've played had very comfortable necks and nice swamp ash bodies. Go get it for that price...

Try it first. Good as they are, the tone isn't for everyone.

My Washburn XB800 is a mother , nice thin neck , chunky bridge , grunty pickups/preamp , if the 900 is anything like that id say go for it ..... do you have a picture of it ? , its hard to send pictures on this site because talkbass only accepts less than 50.000 bytes !! , the pictures of my basses are about a million .

I only have a crappy picture. It was an eBay auction that did not hit the reserve so I worked the deal out with the guy. The only picture I have is the one that was in the auction, and it is not that good. The file is attached.
