Does anyone think Orange will bring back the OB1K but in a smaller more affordable way? I really liked the Terror series and REALLY want an AD200b but they are way too exspensive. I am hoping they bring this amp back not only affordable but maybe the same size as an OR15 in a tolex head case?

I think Orange should make more SS amps. I really just am sick of the lunchbox look!

    What do you think?

I hear ya, I was really digging that thing last year after NAMM. Had some great features and sounded good (at least on video).

  3. sort of OT, but beyond Orange, any good Amp related NAMM announcements? Will Ampeg be reissuing any hand wired Accordian amps? Will Fender be offering a new 'relic' version of the super six reverb? (twin reverb chassis with a 6-10 cab - the worst amp I every had to move on a regular basis (gtr player in 80s band had one, back when basement clubs and top floor lofts were common venues. I cursed that amp nightly))

    any more likely NAMM announcements?

A local club in town has a Super Six on hand for bands to use. That thing is stupid heavy and loud. What a ridiculous amp!

Why are you sick of the lunchbox design? Just curious. I've been loving my Terror Bass since I picked it up in April...

Im a huge fan of tube amps and the lunch box just doesnt appeal to me. Tho the ob1k was way too overpriced and big, i liked how resembled an older tube amp. Basically the ob1k was the size of an old mesa 400. I just think orange could have a mid sized, light weight amp with head case at a decent price.

Very reasonable. Don't want to quote a price in case it's changed since I got mine.

I emailed Orange and asked if the OB1-K will re-appear at NAMM. They said they couldn't say what will be at NAMM but that the OB1-K is not a dead idea.

Lots of other fine all-valve entries that cost less than Orange.

on their page recently they said they'd have a new bass amp. could be a revamped ob1k or new combo since they discontinued the bt500c.

I had a Super Six until about 3 weeks ago. Got it for free and restored it back to working condition - new quad of Tung Sol 7581's, new grill cloth, reconed 2 speakers, etc. Then it occurred to me.. What am I actually going to do with this?

Traded it for a 76 ish Bassman 50 with some sweet preamp tubes (Tele, Amperex, etc), a big muff, and $100.

That's all well and good (definitely a good trade for you), but how is it relevant to this thread exactly? I'm having a little trouble connecting the dots here...
