Hi everybody. I have been out of the effects thing for a long time and usually played multi effects processors and no more than 6 pedals when I played electric guitar years ago. Since then I stuck to playing my acoustic guitars and sometimes would plug in my E/A guitar and play it through a Roland micro cube. So now that I have gotten back in to playing bass after avoiding the itch for years lol, I started building my effects set up. So I have two different MEP that I purchased because one of them is hard to find and since I like the guitar model, I had to order their bass model. I also have a couple of TCE TonePrint pedals, the TCE vortex flanger, TCE Corona chorus, some distortion pedals, a EXH bass big muff pi, Morley dual bass wah, a compressor overdrive pedal, blues drive pedal and a couple of other pedals so I decided to run two different chains to my new amp upgrade. I recently upgraded my amp to a TCE BG250-112 combo TonePrint amp. So I started looking in to different A/B switch pedals and found the newer model Bigshot EFX pedal with the switch lights used on GC's website. I read good things about it online and was wondering if anybody on here has one in their set up. It's supposed to be a true bypass set up and not have any pop sound when switching through it like some others have from what I have read online. I plan on getting a lot more pedals in the future so this seems like the right way to go. My next pedal purchase is going to be the Darkglass Alpha Omega and then the white MXR 10 band equalizer pedal. I am not going to play with a band in the future and just want to get in to home recording and jamming with my buddy every once in awhile. So all this gear is basically for my own enjoyment. Any input on this switch pedal would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everybody and have a great night!
Thanks Cosmiceddie. I am glad to hear that because I was racking my brain trying to find one that I can afford and this one used for $49.99 with the extra Ground switches seems like a great deal. Every one that I read reviews on had positive and negative reviews. So I went with the feedback that it was probably user error and their overall rig set up. Later on when I get a half stack set up and more pedals, I will get a couple of the Boss LS-2 pedals so I can blend. I wish the Loop-Master custom pedals came with a blend knob. thanks again for the feedback on the pedal and have a great day.
I only own the Radial Bigshot ABY, but I am so well pleased with the build quality and features that I will always check Radial first from here on out when I need to add something to my pedalboard. Getting ready to order one of these next. Tonebone BigShotâ„¢ PB1
Thanks lowplaces. I received it today and it's in mint condition. I need to put my pedals together tomorrow and see which way I want to run them all. There are two threaded areas on the bottom of it that I am wondering if they're for attaching it to a board. Do you know what they are there for? That seems like the only thing that they would be there for. The pedal has some nice weight to it too and looks to be very well built. I am definitely going to look in to more of their pedals now. Thanks again.
Here is a pic of the back of the pedal with the threaded holes. Looks like they are there for attaching it to a pedal board or maybe a pedal riser plate. I don't have a clue lol. Do you know what they are for and does your RE pedals have them too? Thanks again.
Thanks coyoteboy. I just received it today and plan on configuring my pedals to the way I like them tomorrow. The pedal definitely looks well built and the mute option is pretty cool. Their tech support is also awesome and answered every question I had about their products. Definitely a good purchase! Thanks again.
I have no idea what those are for. If they have any purpose at all they would be mentioned in the owner's manual. I don't think my Radial Bigshot ABY has them but I didn't really look and it's covered with velcro now. I haven't ordered the other Radial pedal yet. Ran into some car repair costs.
Thanks lowplaces. Yeah I checked their online manual, their product specs sheet and there's no mention of it. Go figure lol. I will call them Monday just out of curiosity to find out what it's for. I bet it's to attach it to one of their boards they make. I have to stay away from their website because the more I learn about their products, the more I want to buy them lol. Thanks again.
