Ordered my new bass!!!!

A couple people asked that I keep them posted, so here it is:

I ordered my new Dingwall today. Took me about a month to decide on the wood and options for it, but Sheldon really helped me out, sending me pics of different woods and options and all that good stuff. Final verdict: Prima 6-String, Burled maple top and back, alder/walnut body core, maple neck, wenge fingerboard, 18V Bartolini 3-band preamp, 2 Bart humbuckers, 24 frets, matching headstock and wood knobs. It will be very similar to a bass at www.bassnw.com, except the figure on the top and back will be quite a bit different. Should go nicely with my 5-String Dingwall. And it cost enough, but being in Canada where the basses are built results in getting a bit better price than my American neighbours (and I do mean neighbours, about 2 or 3km away).

And I must add that Sheldon is great, he always replied within a day, even though I bugged him with quite a few emails.

Now comes the wait....probably close to a year, as Dingwall is so busy building right now. But oh well, I can save up to help cushion the blow.

Hopefully I will be able to get some pics of the bass in construction, it would be nice, as this will be my dream instrument.
