'Original' pre-cbs jazz ? Something's not quite right here

    Neck is clearly refinished and possibly off another bass.

    My sense is it could well be a fender neck, but off a matching headstock oly white bass, then somebody painted the back of the headstock black and the neck shaft heritage cherry

    And wouldn't a '64 be a 'L' series serial # ?

    Would it have a grounding strip and string mutes?

    Wrong in so many ways, including the description. They probably have ocean front property in Nevada for sale too. :rollno:
