Can't wait to unbox this bad boy, hook up my Aguilar DB751 and plug in a Roscoe or my new XOTIC..... TONE!
I'm excited for you! I've never used a one of the DB's. I've heard they can be boomy, so the NV610 might be the perfect match. I've owned two and I ran them with all kinds of heads. The NV cabs are the one style that I keep rebuying after having to let them go. Michael
Thanks folks! I love the DB but it is certainly my outdoor/big gig rig and for that I wanted the NV610T/ My main rig will still be my GK MB800 and two Aggy GS112's. I love the tone of the DB with my Roscoes and think it will be an excellent match with the NV610.
If you want to take out the NV610 with a lighter head check out the kxb500. Best rig I've ever heard is the kxb500/nv610 and don't just take my word on it: http://www.talkbass.com/threads/club-bergantino-part-5.1000582/page-66#post-16533247 http://www.talkbass.com/threads/nad...d-kustom-kxb500.1094234/page-18#post-16430420 http://www.talkbass.com/threads/nad...d-kustom-kxb500.1094234/page-11#post-16300936 It may make you want to sell your DB751.
The nice issue of the NV610 .... just about anything you hook up to it, will sound good ... except this Have fun with the cabinet
anyone else chased down their local postal carrier, fedex, or ups driver when waiting on a new bass toy? "out for delivery" usually means "the chase is on".
I have many times. One time I was at a music store several miles from my house. I looked up and in walks my FedEx driver and says " I have a bass for you on my truck, you want it now?" He said he saw my truck in the parking lot.
Congrats, note that it will sound even better once the break in period is over. I love mine now but did not particularly like it as I demoed this cab for the first time in a store.
And a GK MB 200 too! I have had the Tonehammer and the Markbass amps too and the GK is really my sound for day to day gigs. The DB751 is my weekend caddy that takes up bofe lanes....
btw, the only reason I brought up the kxb500 with the NV610 is because I've heard several heads with the NV610, both micro and lead sled, and the kxb500 stands out amongst the rest with that cab. It's like they were made for each other.
From what I understand, Bergantino built an order of them right before the entire NV610 line was discontinued. I think there's been some interest through Rocket Music to do special orders if enough people sign on. BTW: While the NV610 sounds great with tube heads, as one would imagine, I find that it also sounds absolutely awesome with a Carvin B2000.
