    Hello friends!

I am using my Mesa/Boogie Basis M-2000 as a preamp in my home studio. When I use the "post" eq setting, the main output knob is controlling also the output for the balanced out.

My question is as follows: Does using the amp with output level very high (like 70%), but NO cabinet connected damage the amp in any way? I mean, if the power meant for the speakers burn something inside or something? Im really no techwiz, so please help me!

    Thank you! this site rock!

If the amp is not tube then using it without a speaker load will be fine.
