I really like the warm, dark, thick colored tone of the Mad Professor Blueberry on low gain settings.

I also like transparent top-end grind a la Paul C. Timmy.

Is there an overdrive that does both of these well? Maybe the VT Bass? More low end than the Blueberry would also be a plus. And better clean up-ability would be nice as well. I'm searching for a pedal that does good low gain colored tone AND transparent tone.

Haven't heard of that one, I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

Also, I tried putting my Blueberry before my Diamond Comp, instead of after (I always thought compressor needed to be first) and I get a much smoother, and compressed, sound out of the Blueberry. The compressor really smooths things out and removes excess "hair" on low gain settings. Much more tube-like and thick. I highly recommend trying it!
