I originally built this bass with:
    Gold Hardware
    Schaller Roller Bridge
    EMG BTS Preamp
    Poorly done shielding tape

Well, I've since did a complete overhall on the bass:
    Chrome Hardware
    Gotoh Quick Release bridge
    Aguilar OBP-1 preamp
    Neatly applied shielding paint
Plugged side jack hole so I can redrill for strandard input jack with Football Jack Plate

Visually, I'm totally happy with the way the bass turned out. I'm not really fond of Gold hardware, so it had to go.
Soniclly, it smokes. The EMG 40J's sound KILLER with the OBP-1.

Looks cool Nino. Are you going to be selling this one? I like gold in a few rare cases (really depends on the bass) but chrome looks good on this one. I really like EMG pickups too...on a good bass with a good pre they sound great IMO. Nice job. :)

  3. That chrome looks great on that bass Nino, IMO, a very good improvement.

I'm planning to keep this one.
I was planning on putting a Sadowsky pre in it but I got such a good deal on the Aguilar OBP-1 (free) that I went with that.
The old Quilt Warmoth Jazz Deluxe 5 I built had the same pre/pickups & I knew it would sound great.

The Bass looks great dude. Congratulations. Only problem I see is it doesn't really look much like the Streamer I know you're modeling after.

Wow, that looks a lot better with the chrome instead of the gold. Gold always looks tacky to me. That's a mighty pretty bass, what does it wieght, if i may ask? For some reason it looks really heavy to me.
