P-Bass Flatwound question

    I´m listening to "Man Child" from Herbie Hancock and this P-Bass sound is awesome. But i´m not sure if it is Flatwounds i hear since i never had them on my bass?

    Not positive, I'm going from memory, but Paul Jackson (who did much of the album) used an old style Precision (pre '57 - the ones that looked like Telecasters) and roundwound strings. Probably Rotos.

    And YES - he sounds GREAT !
