Does anyone know any good P-bass pickups that aren't extremely expensive. Also how are Dmarzio pickups.

  2. Bartolini makes really good P-Bass pickups. I just got the 8s set from Guitar Center for like 90 bucks- but you have to special order them. They really make my squire sound a hundred times better. The only thing is that they're a littel smaller than the originals- so theres a small gap between the pickguard and the pickup, but otherwise, they're great.

IIRC, TB'r Allodox put an EMG Select P type in a Squier and he's
happy with that. Can't get much lower than ~$24 from Stew-Mac.
DiMarzio P pups are good. I love the Split-P for fretless.
    I think TB'r PollyBass has a model P, and TB'r bgavin has a
Will Power Middle on order. He should have it soon and I'm
bettin' he'll be posting a full review :). I believe the model P
and the Will Power have "aggressive" mids and would be a
good alternative to say, an S/D ¼-Pounder, if that's the
    tone you're goin' for.

These three are available from "Guitar Heaven" for ~$56, ~$69, and
$60, resp. I've dealt with `em before (D/m Ultra Jazz set) and they're
    good guys.
