I have this old squier P bass that I'm pretty sure is an affinity model. It's serial turned up that it was made in 96 in China. It has a really nice neck and it let me to question what other P basses are out there that have a similar neck profile. The width at the nut is definitely 1.6"+ like most Ps but it's very thin top to bottom all the way up the neck and super comfy to play.

I guess this would be a modern C? I recently had a player P and the neck on that thing felt way too chunky for me.

any suggestions? I found a good deal on an American pro but I’m not opposed to a Mexican or even Indonesian model if it has the neck profile I’m after.

For reference, the Player P I just had felt like this:

My Squier feels like it's more like the above image @ the 9th but across the entire neck.

The Fender roadworn is wide and flat, if I remember correctly. Same on the one that's not relic'd that I think is called the classic.

that a 60s classic? I keep seeing stuff about the 63 neck.

I think that's what it's called. Same exact bass as the roadworn, or at least it was a few years ago. I don't know what Fender is making now. It was very thin front to back at the wide 1.75" nut.
