ok so I have a p bass and a Ibanez sb900le with active p j style pickups. My question is can I use the P pickups out of the p j style in my p bass? if so how would I do this?

If the pickups themselves are active, yes, but you will need to wire in a battery harness, and use 25k potentiometers (opposed to the stock 250k or 500k that you probably have) and with a battery harness, you'll need a stereo output jack. Knowing early 90s Ibanez RG/S style basses, this setup seems more likely.

If it has passive pickups that are running into an active preamp, however, all youd have to do is disconnect the passive pickup in the Ibanez and directly swap it into your P bass.
