P/J series fender basses?

I have a '92 MIJ Fender P-Lyte with P/J. I think they went for maybe $400-800?

 

That's often referred to as the "cowpoke" bass (the shape of the pickguard resembles a saddle). If I recall correctly, they were Made in Japan.
