Packing a synth for moving

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Peter McFerrin, May 21, 2003.

  1. I have a Yamaha DGX-500 digital piano (it's very nice, I love it) that I need to move home with me next week. I had to throw out the box because I had nowhere to store it. How should I pack it? I was thinking of wrapping it in that mover's cling wrap and then putting a layer of bubble-wrap around it, but I'm not sure how well that'd work. I don't have any boxes big enough to accommodate it, and it doesn't have a case.

    Your opinions?

  2. I'd go bubble wrap first, and out of experience, a heavy blanket after that. If you can get ahold of a moving blanket, or you have one that you don't mind getting a little dirty, that'd be the cheap and easy way to go.

  3. I have a more-or-less trashed bedspread in the back of my Jeep right now. I think I'll use that.
