    Hello,

I have a deep black stain on one of my basses, with an oil finish. Now, I know that scratches, nicks, etc., are what they are on these softer finishes, but what do I do to just clean off grime? Like I said, the color is stained into the wood, so what would be safe to clean the wood?

    Thanks,

    Ben

I would start with regular buffing with just a soft cloth - after every time you use it. Get the #@$!$%^ off before it gets caked on there.
