I've searched the forums and every thread on this that I could find, but I simply could not find simple, step-by-step instructions for wiring a bass in V/B/T with a Series/Parallel push/pull pot. Does anyone have a schematic or picture and intricate, and I mean almost ridiculously easy instructions for doing this? and also, Would my plan of using a 250K Push/pull pot for the switch/master volume, a 500K blend pot, and a 250K pot for tone work? do i have the right parts?
Ah, but did you check the FAQ? http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=159191 Check out the standard VBT diagram at the top, and look at the photos. Then read this one: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=141764 Scroll down on that second link and you'll see a VBT S/P diagram I did. That should get you going.
Alright, I found Your Schematic, but while that is close, it's not exactly what I want. Do you have a schematic for using that configuration, only instead of a switch, using a push/pull pot on the master volume?
Thanks to the miracle of Google, this: http://www.deaf-eddie.net/pushpull/pushpull.html was the fist link that came up with this search: http://www.google.com/search?q=push+pull+pot+series+parallel&btnG=Search&hl=en&lr= It should help. You will have a little issue regarding what happens when you turn the two pickups into one pickup in series mode. The blend pot kinda throws a wrench into the works.
