Here we have GORGEOUS, all-American P-bass that I just got as part of a trade. Though it is a really sweet bass, I am GASing for some other things; plus I have some home stuff/vacation stuff to pay off.

The neck is maple w/ maple fretboard from a 60th anniversary Fender P-bass. Warmoth swamp ash body in shoreline gold. Hipshot A bridge. CTS split shaft pots, Switchcraft jack. Dunlop strap buttons. Fender tuners. 1 5/8" nut, 19mm string spacing, weight approx. 9 lbs. Currently strung with TI flats. Back of neck is thin nitro with a very nice satin finish and slick feel. Knobs are Fender, tort pickguard by Warmoth. There's a scratch on the pickguard from a screwdriver or something similar - not noticeable unless you stare at it. Frets are in excellent shape, no sharp edges. Awesome Fender/SKB heavy duty case.

I've decided to part this out. Although, if you want the whole bass, feel free to make me a fair offer.

Here is how I am willing to part it out. I don't really want to break it down any further, so don't ask. All prices "or best offer" / negotiable within reason.

Loaded Fender maple/maple neck: $395 shipped
Unloaded Warmoth shoreline gold body (no pickup, no bridge, but pots/jack/pickguard will stay): $295 shipped
    Lollar P-bass pickup: $90 shipped
    Hipshot "A" bridge: $60 shipped
    TI Flatwound strings: $37.50 shipped
Fender/SKB bass case: on hold for a friend in town here (because these are kinda expensive to ship, I may try to sell locally)

    No trades.
    Pics attached.

Why are you parting out such a gorgeous P Bass? Is there more money there or is that the only way you can get what you have invested in it? Never really understood the part out thing. BUMP!

Well to be honest, I got it as part of a trade + cash deal for one of my basses. With the economy being as rough as it's been for the past oh-so-many-years, it seems like nobody has cash (at least not enough to spend $1, $2, $3k+ on a bass), but everyone has something to trade. So when a gentleman on Talkbass offered me this bass + a decent chunk of cash for one of my basses, I knew I had to take the deal. Generally parting out nets a little more money than a complete bass - and is cheaper to ship. It just takes longer to sell things in pieces, but I'm not really in a huge hurry.

Currently, the case is on hold for a friend. And the neck MAY get traded for another neck I need. And the pickups/strings MAY be on hold for another friend.

That all being said, everything is still physically in my possession, so, make an offer if you are so inclined :D

Thanks for explaining it. I can see your point. I never really gave much thought to it. I figure if I have a nice, good playing and sounding bass then I surely wouldn't want to tear it apart. I can see the just in it know.

    Nice stuff!

Do you know the weight of the unloaded Warmoth body? Sometimes it's written in the neck pocket.

Also, is the pickguard cut by Warmoth or what's the brand?

The scratch on the pickguard is by this sloppy bass assembler. Good parts tho, and Tim is a standup guy.
