Hey TB-Land, I thought this might be a cool thread to start... if you have kids who play bass, post about it here and brag a bit Here's my son Avi playing his Fender MIM P bass at his school's Christmas concert. Is it OK to say he killed at the Christmas show? He's been playing since August and really loves learning and playing bass.
That's awesome. I'm going to buy a little U-bass and start teaching my daughters (ages 7 and 8) to play soon. Music is such a great thing to share with your kids. Just ask Wolfie Van Halen!
That is indeed awesome. Although I don't have kids of my own I have jams with neice, she's just turned 10. It's very fun, I especially like it when she tries directing me like she's my MD.
Well, he hasn't played out for two years or so because most of the guys are in college, but they are still "together" when the time allows. Here's my then 19yo son Seth with his band "Buktrap" at the Hardrock in Louisville Ky. A little rough around the edges but at least its not a cover band!!!! John
He was nine in this photo posing with the early 90s Squire P I passed down. He's eleven currently, turned his attention to violin and has been taking lessons the last couple years, but likes to play some bass when I'm practicing at home. He sight reads better than I do, wish I would have started as young.
