Does any one know if running two instruments through the same amp is harmfull?
say running a bass through the passive and a guitar throught active jacks?
  2. I do this with my SWR IOD when I play bass duets with a buddy.

He has an active Warwick and plays low notes, and I have a passive fretless J and play high notes. Works fine.
  3. Should be fine. When I took lessons, my teacher plugged into the active and I plugged into the active. Never had any problems.

    Yes, it works.
It could be nice to get a Boss LS-2 Line Selector for this kind of purpose.
