Passive Nordstrand fatstacks? wiring help?

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by KramerDon, Oct 24, 2013.

  1. I picked up a pair of 5 string fatstacks for my first attempt at building/assembling a bass.I'd really like to stay passive as I am probably more a collector than a player at this point in my life and don't want to worry about keeping a charged battery in an instrument that I'll probably only play several times a year.
I've got a plenty powerful old amp(acoustic370),is there any problem with using these pickups passively? Also if anyone feels charitable,I'd surely appreciate any advice on wiring them passively,I'm thinking either the traditional VV-TT but I'd certainly be open to any advice like V-blend or anyone's ideas and am hoping I can find a wiring diagram somewhere. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!!!
