I am considering going the passive route, but I play a Steinberger. They use a odd shape for the pickup; it's in the shape of a guitar humbucker. They are originally EMGs in there, but it doesn't look like the EMG HZs will fit. Does anybody make a passive replacement pickup that will fit?

The RioGrande Pitbull, DiMarzio XN2-B (DP125), and EMG Select (SEHB) are
all s'posed to fit a "standard humbucker route"

Thanks, notduane! Unfortunately, none of those guys have anything about them on their website. I guess Dimarzio doesn't make them anymore, the Rio Grand doesn't give any info about them, and looks like the EMG Select is still an active pickup, based on the specs.

Has anyone had any experience replacing their Steinberger pickups with one of these?
