    Hi
I know this has been discussed before but Im looking to make my Ibanez sr905 passive but the mk1s dont really cut it when run without a preamp. Can anybody recommend me a set of pickups that would fit the same routes (think its bart p2) and give me a fat growly (prominent mids) passive sound? Do any of the US barts fit the bill? The ibanez is an all maple
    thru-neck btw.

    cheers

    Phil

the P2 shape is the *closest* to the MK1 shape, but they're not exactly the same - if you look on the bart site, you can download a doc with their pickup dimensions.

On the Best Bass Gear site, they list a Bart soapbar in the 'MK' shape (4 & 5 string). I haven't checked the Bart site.
