Anyone know of another way to sell and collect funds aside from waiting for a check to clear? I refuse to use Paypal anymore,,and I have some gear I want to start moving again here on TB,

Direct wire from one bank account to the other. It's super reliable and safe, however there's no "buyer protection" system (however flawed) like Paypal. There's also Dwolla, which has lower fees and is meant to be the newer better replacement for Paypal, but people are slow to accept it. I signed up but I haven't actually used it.

Bank "Cashier's" Check. Somebody has to go to a bank to purchase it and you know the funds are there.

Square and Dwolla come to mind. Then there's good old postal money order.

I use PP for my business, and so I always keep my eye out for alternatives.

What's wrong with PP? From my standpoint running a small business, PP works extremely well, and services purporting to be cheaper turn out not to be.
  8. Even Cashiers Checks are not reliable. My neighbor took one on a tractor and he lost several thousand dollars on it.

    USPS money order.

Faking one is a FEDERAL crime (unless I'm wrong).

People do still fake them though.

Lots of alternatives but in my experience Paypal is the way to to go especially if you want to avoid any unwanted BS if a sale has any complications.

USPS Money Order. Cash at post office only! They validate it there and it cannot be charged back like at a bank where you could cash a fake. Absolutely 100% safe for the seller.
