I have a chrome bridge cover, its a little too bright for my p, anyone know of nickel ones?
Always were made chrome-plated. You can dull yours with some steel wool.
Yeah, this; or else find a plating company - which is becoming hard to do, these days - and have it stripped, and re-plated. If you do. make sure to get the nickel extra thick. It's usually a very thin layer, over the base copper plating, and under the chrome (hence the term "triple chrome plated")..
Good info. Thanks gents
i actually made a thread on this exact topic last week. there are reliced crome ones on ebay, but that may be a bit too far with other nickel hardware. scotchbrite pad will take thelayer of chrome off, but go easy and slow or you will take the nickel layer off to and reach the copper plating
Ok so there is nickel under there. Thanks
