Hey guys. I got MM4 the other day, great bass and all, but the block inlays are having tiny little cracks -- or whatever the hell that is -- in them since I started playing it. It's not the finish of the neck, but the inlays themselves.

I wonder if anybody else had the same experience on their reissue or Marcus signature model basses? Is this normal? Thanks.

are you sure it's not just the finish over the top of the inlays?

why? the finish seems to be perfectly normal, it's just these little tiny "cracks". i don't know how serious this is, it doesn't look like anything big, but still annoying..., thanks anyway.

I was just checking to see if the finish was cracked and not the MOP.

I've talked to a few people who had their finish flaking on the Geddy Lee Sig.

no pictures yet, it's not the finish, it's something to do with the upper part of the inlay plastic. i don't know what in the world caused it. thanks.
