I bought this as NOS a couple of months ago and several people expressed interest at the time if I decided to sell. I love this colour, but quite frankly, I am a Bongo guy. My Single H Bongo is the ultimate EB for me. This is a great Sterling in a great colour, but I prefer the playability and sound of the Bongo H. It is in perfect condition. I will probably regret selling it, but I have no incentive to play it, and I am not rich enough to keep a museum piece around...
...That said, I do not have to sell it, so I am willing to take my time in getting what I want for it. $950 shipped in a hard case. I want this to go to a person who will actually play it like it deserves!

If you like Sterling's, you will not regret buying this bass!

Free bump for the awesome color. If I wasn't already really happy with my own Sterling, I'd definitely buy this one.

    Thanks.

  6. I had the same exact bass but w/ a rosewood board. It was made in late 2000.

This was made June 9th 2000. I think this run of colours was stopped by 2002, but I am not too sure.

If i ever needed a sterling, i'd want that one. It's really unique and has a great vibe coming off it.

It weighs about the same as my Fretless Bongo, which is 8.3 lbs. can't actually tell which one is heavier, but its relatively light, especially compared to my Red Bongo which weighs about 9lbs. Oh, and did I mention that this bass is mint!

    HI

I only play basses 8.5lbs and lighter. Thats why I asked. Just wanted to make sure before I got serious about it. Most EB's are about 9lbs and just too heavy for me. Let me know if you can get an exact weight. Thanx so much
