Peavey BAM 2x10 combo?

    Saw an ad a while back for this amp, has a bunch of onboard effects and stuff, just wondering if anyone had thoughts on this combo.

    I've heard mixed things about Peavey amps, just asking if this is one of the better ones.

    Now i hate Peavey, but damn, like i said in another thread, i could rant good things about this one all day. It definately rocks.

    Aside from the fact previously stated as "it rocks", is it a good all around amp? Is it any good for slapping or thick, dubby thumbstyle 5. I play any type of music I can, and that's quite a bit. I need versatality.

    And what other good 2x10+horn/tweeter combos are there for a similar price?

    you could get a Goliath Jr III and a Bass 350 for around that price.

    I don't think it's available...yet.
    I could be mistaken.

    It purports to have many bells & whistles.
    Check it out at the Peavey site & while you're at it (IF you haven't already) maybe you could try your question over at their forum. They generally don't bite! Give it a go!

    I just don't like their stuff. Their speakers usually can't handle basses with strong preamps. For example, a friend of mine, who is endorsed by Spector, plugged his American into a Peavey Firebass 700 and two Peavey 410s. He and i and both thought it just sounded so awful. This was also a new Rig, not a used beat up one. I should probably change what i said earlier though to i hate peavey amps. I think the Cirrus is great.

    Oh my God! It is unbelievable! I played one today at the store, and i just couldn't stop playing it! I bought it right there! It sounds better than my stack! You can get ANY sound out of it! I just can't explain how amazing it is. I love the thing!:D
