In general Peavey basses are very well regarded here at talkbass. I own one and have owned another in the past and they both were/are excellent instruments, particularly for the money.

The Fury series has the same pickups as the much more expensive Peavey Cirrus. The electronics are way above average for a bass in that price range. If you like the way it plays and sounds, I say go for it.

Peavey Fury basses are very nice for the price. And it sounds like it does everything you want it to, so I say go for it.
