    Hey all....
I'm thinking of custom ordering a Cirrus 6 from Peavey. Any suggestions from the different options they offer? I tried a used walnut 6 today and it felt/played great.

Why didn't you just get the used one? The "standard" Cirri are excellent and you undoubtedly will save a butt-load of money by it.
  3. +1.

The Cirrus or (Cirri :D ) are absolutely great basses.

I just went to the Cirrus custom site and built a Cirrus very close to the one I bought used.

    This is what I chose:

    5-string ---------------- $1,899.99
    Alder body -----------------$80.00
    Wenge top --------------- $200.00
    Hand rubbed oil finish -------$30.00
    Ebony fingerboard ---------$100.00
    Fretted --------------------$00.00
    No inlays -------------------$00.00
    Black hardware -------------$00.00
    Basic 3 band EQ ------------$00.00
    Total --------------------$2,309.99

Now, I don't know what kind of a discount you can get on this from a dealer, but $2,300.00 is a lot of wood (no pun intended)

I got mine for $800.00 is very good condition.

My bass is identical to the one above, except mine has a pau ferro fingerboard, which I don't believe Peavey offers anymore.

If money's no object, get exactly what you want, but as Mark said, you can save a nice bit of cash if you go used.

They sound and play so good.

    Good luck.
